The Tour Series is Back and what a start for Redchilli Bikes’ sponsored team, Pro-Noctis – Redchilli Bikes – Heidi Kjeldsen….
Following a break of some 806 days due to the Coronavirus pandemic, top level racing is back. The Tour Series kicked off the first of 3 rounds (again, cut short this year due to the pandemic) but it was a magnificent start for Pro-Noctis – Redchilli Bikes – Heidi Kjeldsen as Jo Tindley not only took second spot on the night, but also came out triumphant with the overall Sprinters’ jersey on a tight, technical circuit.
Added to this, the team also came out second in the overall Team Standings, just 1 point behind the leaders, Great Britain U23 Track Team.
At the end of a frantic race, the individual results were:
1). Eluned King, GBR, Great Britain U23 Track Team with a time of 53:11.044
2). Jo Tindley, GBR, Pro-Noctis – Redchilli Bikes – Heidi Kjeldsen, + 0.198
3). Ellen McDermott, GBR, Team Boompods, + 0.225
4). Abi Smith, GBR, Great Britain U23 Track Team, + 05.24
5). Harriet Dodd, GBR, Team LDN – Brother UK, + 0.683
Jo Tindley, Pro-Noctis – Redchilli Bikes – Heidi Kjeldsen took the Sprinters Jersey and no doubt Jo will be aiming to retain this jersey throughout the series. Riding our Redchilli WR1 (Female Specific Race Bike) Jo told us “the bike sprints really well and they feel really light, yet stiff on the back end.” Sounds good..!!
Round 2 of the Tour Series takes place in Sunderland on Tuesday 10th August. UK viewers can see highlights on Wednesday 11th August, 7:00pm on ITV 4.
